STATE RELAY CHAMPIONSHIPSThe State Relay Championships is the largest event on the LANSW calendar in terms of number of competitors. As the name suggests the Championships are comprised entirely of relay events. The State Relays are held on the fourth full weekend in November each year. Juniors (U8 to U11), compete on the Saturday and Seniors (U12 to U17) compete on the Sunday. The Championships are usually held at Sydney Olympic Park Athletics Centre. The State Relays were cancelled due to COVID for the 2020/2021 season. |
STATE MULTI-EVENT CHAMPIONSHIPThe State Multi-Event Championships are held on the first full weekend in March each year at a Country venue. Athletes participate in ALL of the events on offer for their particular age group. Performances for all events are allocated points, based on the LANSW Multi-Event pointscore system. The points are then added together to determine final results. |
STATE CROSS COUNTRY & ROAD WALK CHAMPIONSHIPSThe State Cross-Country & Road Walks are usually held on the first Sunday in July each year. Athletes in the U7 through to U17 age groups are eligible to enter the State Cross-Country. Athletes in the U9 through to U17 age groups are eligible to enter the State Road Walks. Entries can be made online. There are NO entries taken on the day. |
TRANS TASMANThe Trans Tasman is for athletes in the U11 and U12 age groups, from both NSW and Auckland. Every second year, a team from NSW (boys and girls in both the U11 and U12 age groups), travel to Auckland for the Trans Tasman Tour. On alternate years, a team from Auckland travels to Sydney. 2020 will be the last ever Trans Tasman to be held.
