It’s with regret that Ryde Athletics have to inform you that our end of season presentation and fun day due to be held on the 21st of March will be postponed.
News has been received that a meeting of State and Federal Governments has agreed to issue advice to cancel ALL public gatherings of over 500 people. As a result of this advice, we have postponed our end of year celebrations.
This isn’t a decision that has been easily made. The health and safety of our athletes and their friends and family is always our number one priority.
No further details have been decided on when the fun day will now be held. We will update you as soon as these details have been decided
Little Athletics NSW has been closely monitoring and evaluating developments regarding the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak for the past week or more, with advice being sourced daily from the Australian and NSW Health departments.

NO REGIONALS THIS WEEKEND
NO COMP AT MARSFIELD PARK THIS WEEKEND
Due to the extreme weather conditions we are currently experiencing and the forecast of up to 150m of rain on both Saturday and Sunday, the Region 5 Committee has had to make the unfortunate decision that for the safety and wellbeing of all athletes and officials, the Region 5 carnival must be postponed.
We are currently in discussion with the Office of Sport and Recreation to secure the use of the track next weekend, Saturday 15 and Sunday 16 February and there is a slight possibility some events may be held on Friday evening February 14th.
The Region committee will re-convene early tomorrow morning to work on a revised program of events if necessary.
Due to being rained out last week this Saturday the 25th will be week one.
This weekend will be a points week. We had planned to do Ryde Multi Games this weekend, but to ensure the event is as successful as possible we have decided to postpone the event until later in the season, hopefully at the newly reopened Dunbar Park.
We have made this decision in the best interest of our athletes and we apologise for any inconvenience caused.
Council has closed Marsfield Park. There will be NO COMP on the 18th
We’ll see you all on the 25th
