End of season Fun Day

We are looking forward to celebrating our End of Season Fun Day with you on Saturday 16th March.

The music will be pumping, the snags will be free, and the smiles will be huge!

We will start the mornings activities at 8:30am.

Each age group will have the 60m dash plus lots of fun activities including our awesome ‘Thong Throwing’ challenge, the ever fun jumping castle and let’s not forget our end of year egg toss comp!

We will be running our Ross Forster 800m handicap race. Age managers have all nominated a representative from their age group and all the athletes will race at the same time. The handicap start time for each of the athletes is based on their seasons PB. If all the representative athletes compete to the best of their ability we will see a very tight finish!

Age Groups will be called to present end of year medals. Your child must have attended 70% of competition points weeks to receive a medal.

An important feature of our Fun Day this year will be to honour the memory of Sandy Smith.
Sadly, we lost Sandy this year to Brain Cancer. He was a familiar face and integral volunteer in our Ryde Athletics community.
To honour Sandy we are fundraising for The Brain Cancer Group. There will be QR codes on the day, or you can follow this link to donate directly.

To add to our already busy morning will be the task of packing up our amenities block. Ryde council are planning a much needed renovation to the building and as such we need to empty all our equipment and belongings. Many, many hands will be needed so please, if you can, lend a hand.

We also send congratulations and good luck to all our #TeamRyde athletes that will be competing at the State Championships!
Gifts for our State Championship representative will be available to collect on Fun Day. For those unable to attend Fun Day they will be available at Presentation Day in May.
